Meet Theeson, Prince of Lyke
🗡️ MEET THEESON 🗡️
Prince Theeson, son of Prince Erebos. Young, handsome, and utterly amused by the pampered little Sylph princess he just captured.
Ariadne finds him acceptable. And annoying. (Her words, not mine.)
What makes Theeson who he is:
He looks the part. Broad shoulders, dark armor, and a cape he wears out of duty, not decoration. His hair is black in shadow with a reddish gleam when the light catches it, and his dark eyes give nothing away.
He wears a smirk like a mask. His smirk and his arrogance hide what he does not want anyone to see: the shame, the fear, the sorrow, and the conflict underneath. He walks the line his terrible father forces him to walk, but he hates it, and loyalty to his people is starting to cost him more than he expected. He captures Ariadne, and later regrets the trouble he has put her through. Behind the mask is a heart and a conscience he is still trying to protect.
He notices more than he lets on. For all his joking, Theeson reads a room fast. He sees what people are hiding, sometimes before they know they are hiding it.
He is not the villain of this story. Or is he? That depends on which side of him you meet, and on which day.
Are they enemies? Lovers? Both? You tell me.
